The fruit, which is mainly cultivated in Middle East and the Mediterranean region, but is also grown in California and Arizona, is kinda hard to get during spring, because its harvest period begins in June and ends in December, or at the latest in February.

At room temperature, it will keep for several weeks, especially when you part the fruits in half.
